NSL Championship Match Set

In a closely contested Final Four match up, Morigi 1, Center on the Hill, scored a big upset by defeating reigning 3 time NSL champion the SAS Strikers. SAS scored first topping Morigi by 12 pins in the first match but faltered down the stretch as Morigi outscored SAS by 45 pins in the second match. The margin of victory was 23 pins. Warner Wisyanski led Morigi with games of 300 and 299. Coach Pat Morigi chipped in with a 300 game. William Artis and Rick Swaney were instrumental in the win. Wii bowler of the year, Joe Riccobene, and wii bowling partner Duane Webster led Oris Martin's SAS Strikers with a 300 game each.

In the second match of the NSL Final Four, The Crushers from Cedar Crest Village crushed the Alley Oops from Santa Clarita Senior Center, Santa Clarita, CA, easily winning both matches by 430 pins. The powerful Crushers were led by old reliable Lily Berenbroick who scored a pair of 300 games and coach Tony di Filippo who had a season high series of 599 (300 and 299). Ever present Bill Sperry added another 300 game for the Crushers whose pin total of 2,365 is the highest recorded series in the four seasons of NSL play.

An NSL shout out to the SAS Strikers for their great run through 4 seasons of NSL play. We will miss Coach Martin and her team of talented Wii Bowlers in the playoffs.

A second shout out to Bernie Katz's Santa Clarita team for making a long run during the 4th season. Bernie's Alley Oops team improved every week defeating some very worthy opponents only to falter against a very strong Crusher team.

The Final Match Up to determine the 2011 NSL Spring Champion will be played May 3rd at 1PM EST. For NSL information visit the website at www.nslgames.com.
